Kitchen Remodel – Island Installation

Everyone wants to live in a home with quality, style, and luxury. But increasing home value can be tricky. This is especially true for people who don’t have enough knowledge. Good news. The process is not as tough as you think. Having realistic and concrete ideas are the secret.

Some home improvement ideas to increase value are listed below:

Remodeling the Kitchen

Some homeowners consider the kitchen as the heart of the property. This means that any update in this area really pays off. According to studies, everyone can expect to recoup between 60% and 120% of the investment on a kitchen remodel.

How are you going to do it? Simply apply fresh paint throughout the area to update its look. Take advantage of modern colors to suit your taste and budget, too. Paint is relatively cheap that won’t cause a dent in your bank account.

Another kitchen remodel idea is to replace the old appliances. Choose stuff with a good energy efficiency rating. Not only are they better for the environment, but they also help you avoid unnecessary costs in electric consumption.

Bathroom Addition

A single bathroom? Then, recoup a chunk of your investment by adding another one. When finding the room for an extra bathroom, look at underutilized spaces. These include the areas where your closets and stairs are located. For a half-bath, 18 square feet location is ideal. For a full bath with a stand-up shower, 30 square feet space plays a vital role.

As with other home projects, the cost of bathroom addition depends on the accessories you prefer to use. Work with companies that reduce prices on toilets, sinks, tubs, doors, and fixtures to save expenses.

Reinventing a Room

Adding square footage to your residential property can be an expensive project. Reinventing the space is best. You can convert the attic to a bedroom, finish a basement, or add a small apartment in the garage.

Get rid of unnecessary stuff. Recycle useful pieces of furniture. Then, rearrange the tables, chairs or sofas accordingly. It sounds easier, isn’t it? But it’s not. Work with a skilled contractor to avoid hassles and maximize the result.

Energy-Efficient Window Addition

Today, energy-efficient windows are a trend. Drafty single-pane options are a major disappointment. Experts claim that adding such an investment can save you up to a hundred dollars in cooling and heating costs per year. For high monthly electric bills, energy-efficient windows can be a power saver. Give it a try and see the difference within a month or two.

Deck Addition

Another home improvement idea that increases value is decking. These days, a deck space is more desirable for people who hold a birthday party outdoors. You won’t only expect a successful celebration, but you will also avoid other expenditures.

Having an appealing deck at home boosts your chance to find prospective buyers in the future. You can get the price of your choice and reduce the burden of finding the right person.

Make all these home improvement ideas a reality with a specialist. It’s better to hire an expert than making it a D.I.Y project.

  1. All of these are such good suggestions. I think a lot of people think that they can do something small and rather insignificant but if you really want to increase the home value you need to be much more intentional. What would you say is the best thing to do to increase value in your experience?

  2. Remodeling the kitchen is a great idea, but it’s also very expensive. I would strongly suggest adding an extra bathroom, I think it adds more value and it’s quite simple. It doesn’t have to be big and it’s relatively cheap.

  3. These are some really great ideas to boost the value of a house.
A deck can add thousands and is something we are looking to add to our house.
I never considered energy efficient windows, perhaps I should. It’d be nice to reduce our bills.
I also suspect a swimming pool will add a lot of value to a property as well.
